  • One National Alumni Scholarship to Drake University, full tuition. Any other half-tuition scholarship awarded is superseded by this award.  
  • Three $10,000 Carpenter Scholarships were given to Drake University to be used toward tuition. The top three semi-finalists who complete both the National Alumni Scholarship Day event and a scholarship interview will be the beneficiaries. A student may get this prize in addition to their Presidential Scholarship, which has a range of $26,000 to $34,000. 

Eligibility

  • To be eligible to apply for these scholarship rewards, a student must be enrolling directly out of high school and have a cumulative GPA of 3.8 or above on a 4.0 scale OR rank in the top 5% of their class (weighted GPAs acceptable).
  • Students who have excelled in other areas, such as extraordinary academic performance, which is frequently recognized by their school, state, or federal government, are also recognized as National Alumni Scholars of the university; these individuals also take on leadership roles and responsibility for a variety of activities or organizations that have a positive social impact. Scholars are students who have a strong work ethic and commitment to their extracurricular activities, jobs, and/or volunteer work.
  • Scholars show initiative and creativity when they try something new or different or show how they get over adversity or pain. Finally, academics exhibit a passion for their work and the subjects they study. Their achievements show how passionate they are about learning, which they also use to extend their boundaries.
