For the academic year 2022–2023, the University of Kent in the UK is accepting applications from qualified candidates for the LLM Academic Excellence Scholarships for International Students.

Students who pursue a Master's degree in law are eligible for scholarships. The Kent Law School has created LLM Academic Excellence Scholarships to assist international students.

Benefits

Students having a First Class Honors Degree from a UK university will get a partial fund of £2,000 and a tuition fee reduction of £2,500 if they are awarded an LLM Academic Excellence Scholarship.

Eligibility

Applicant must have been awarded a First Class Honors degree in law from a British University and it has to be proven by receipt of transcripts and / or a degree certificate clearly stating that this classification has been awarded.

Each applicant must have firmly accepted an offer of a place on the taught Kent LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent for entry in January 2022 and must have also met the academic requirement of entry/be accepted for entry.

You must be an Overseas or EU student for tuition fee purposes.

  1. If you are interested in LLM Academic Excellence Scholarships and you are eligible for the scholarship, visit the university’s official website to apply.
  2. You are also expected to submit a KLS PG Funding application form to [email protected] by the deadline specified must be accompanied by both:
  3. A written statement of a maximum of 1,000 words, submitted as a Word or PDF file and making the case for the award of the scholarship. This should describe the candidate’s academic performance in university studies to date, discuss the reasons for wishing to study for the Kent LLM, and state the candidate’s financial state, stating in particular if the scholarship will make a difference to their ability to study at the University of Kent.
  4. A piece of academic writing of no more than 2,000 words previously submitted for assessment at the candidate’s previous institution, or it could be a 2,000-word essay written for this application on a topic of the candidate’s choosing.
