The Jean Barry Scholarship for Women at Swinburne University of Technology in Australia is open to female Australian nationals. It is offered for a Bachelor's degree in the field of Arts. The Jean Barry Scholarship for Women is made possible by a generous bequest left to the University in 2017. Jean is a Swinburne alum and completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1989.

The Jean Barry Scholarship was established to support female Bachelor of Arts students to undertake and/or continue tertiary education and to achieve their full academic potential by reducing the need to work outside the study.

The successful candidates are awarded a scholarship of $5,000 per year, for up to two years.

• Applicants must be females of 25 years or older.
• Applicants must be citizens, permanent residents, or permanent humanitarian visa holders of Australia.
• Applicants must be current students in the second year or beyond as of Semester 1, 2025.
• Applicants must be enrolled full-time in an eligible course at the University.
