It is a full scholarship for international students as well as for Malaysian citizens to pursue a Doctoral Degree (PhD) in research mode at Universiti Malaya. Stipend: RM3,500/month for 42 months
Tuition Fee: Fee waiver throughout 7 semesters

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded University of Malaya (UM) Bright Scholarship in Malaysia are stated below:

Age should not exceed 30 years at the time of application.
Bachelor’s Degree with CGPA >3.70 (or other recognized equivalent qualification).
Master’s degree by research; or Master’s Degree through mixed mode (coursework and dissertation) with honors and a CGPA of at least 3.70/4.00.
IELTS (Academic) with a score of at least 6.5.
TOEFL 73-93
CEFR B2

Note: The validity of the English test is within 2 years from the date of the exam.
