Introduction

The Faculty of Biosciences, Fisheries and Economics is pleased to offer PhD fellowships in Arctic Zooplankton Diversity Related to Functional Traits at UiT The Arctic University of Norway. UiT The Arctic University of Norway scholarship is open for the academic year 2022/2023.

The aim of PhD project will focus on the diversity of functional traits to understand the dynamics of Arctic zooplankton by analyzing functional traits for existing data on Arctic zooplankton communities collected within the Nansen Legacy and ECO TIP projects. Developing a model to gain knowledge on how copepod traits and the environment.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All nationalities are eligible for this UiT The Arctic University of Norway scholarship.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD degree in Arctic Zooplankton Diversity Related to Functional Traits offered by the university
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following criteria:
  • A bachelor’s degree of 180 ECTS, a master’s degree of 120 ECTS, or an integrated master’s degree of 300 ECTS.
  • A master’s thesis with a scope corresponding to at least 30 ECTS for a master’s degree of 120 ECTS.
  • A master’s thesis with a scope corresponding to at least 20 ECTS for an integrated master’s degree of 300 ECTS.
