The aim of this PhD studentship is to comprehensively characterize clinical, cognitive, and emotion processing profiles of mentally-disordered men and women with challenging behavior residing in secure mental health facilities. Additionally, it seeks to examine how these characteristics predict therapeutic engagement and clinical outcomes. This research project will contribute to identifying therapy targets for patient groups who do not respond well to current treatment and management strategies.
