Each winner who continues to meet the criteria for the Fully Funded Microsoft Disability Scholarship in USA is eligible to receive an annual award of $5,000 for up to four (4) consecutive years for a potential total of $20,000 scholarship. A total of eight (8) scholarships will be awarded.
The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded Microsoft Disability Scholarship in USA are stated below:
1. Candidates applying for the Microsoft Disability Scholarship must be high school seniors with a disability as defined by WHO.
2. Applicants must be planning to study an undergraduate program at a 2 or 4-year University/College or Technical College in the fall after high school graduation.
3. The students must declare a major in computer information systems, engineering, law, business, computer science, or a related field.
4. Candidates must have shown leadership at school and in the community and also possess a passion for technology.
5. Applicants of the Microsoft Disability Scholarship must secure a high school cumulative GPA of at least 3.0.
6. The status of enrolment must either be full-time or half-time.
7. Applicants should require financial support.
Documents required for Fully Funded Microsoft Disability Scholarship:
1. Resume with details of Honors and awards, work experience, and extracurricular activities
2. An official sealed copy of the current academic transcript
3. Two letters of recommendation
4. Three essays on the following topics:
i) In less than 500 words, discuss how you plan to be engaged in the technology industry or technology law or policy in your career
ii) In less than 250 words, state your financial need
iii) In less than 500 words, describe how Microsoft can innovate its future devices and services solutions to creatively & successfully support those living with disabilities in the workplace and in daily life to reach their potential
