Introduction

The Fully Funded IUCN Leaders Forum in Switzerland is open to all nationals. This is the third edition of the IUCN Leaders Forum. The first edition was in South Korea, second and third in Switzerland. The IUCN Leaders forum brings together youth, leaders, and changemakers from all around the world to discuss and find innovative solutions for environmental issues and how to achieve global goals for nature and climate. Participants will Join the Forum in Geneva from 7th to 11th October 2024.

Till now more than 500+ participants attended the forum from more than 70+ countries. IELTS is not required. Moreover, there is no application fee. All the expenses including the flight tickets will be covered by the IUCN. The forum is an opportunity for the Youth, Changemakers, and innovators who are designing or implementing innovative nature conservation or biodiversity action projects in their communities. Participants will present and pitch their projects to speakers, innovators, and global leaders.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded IUCN Leaders Forum in Switzerland are stated below:

  • Open to applicants of all nationalities.
  • Young applicants from all around the world are encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants age should be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • IUCN Forum looking for a diverse pool of global changemakers to participate in the IUCN Leaders Forum.
  • Applicants should have a track record of leadership and innovation in the fields of nature conservation, biodiversity, climate change, and/or sustainable development.
  • Are currently working on an innovative solution that addresses the nature, climate, and biodiversity crises and has nature at the nexus of one or more societal challenges (e.g. energy-nature-climate nexus, food-agriculture-nature-climate nexus, transforming urban landscapes for nature and people, etc.)
