Introduction

The Fully Funded GIST University Scholarship in South Korea is open to all internationals pursuing a master's or Ph.D. degree. GIST is highly ranked, 4th in South Korea and comes in the top 100 universities in the world. 

All international students are granted the GIST Scholarship without any separate application. The Scholarship includes tuition Fees, meals, accommodation, monthly stipend, health insurance, and Flight tickets. GIST University does not charge any application fee.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded GIST University Scholarship in South Korea are stated below:

1. Applicants from all countries can apply.

2. An applicant must have a bachelor’s degree equivalent to a Korean one.

3. All documents must be submitted.

Others

Exemption of English Language Test Proficiency

All courses at GIST University are conducted in English. You can apply without the English language test. If you have been selected, you must submit your test score later.

If you completed your bachelor’s degree in English native English-speaking country (Australia, Canada, Ireland, New Zealand, the UK, or the USA ), you can apply to GIST without an English Proficiency Test result.

Other than that, all applicants must submit an official English proficiency test score, such as TOEFL (IBT, PBT), IELTS, TOEIC, and TEPS.

1. TOEFL: iBT 80, PBT 550

2. IELTS: 6.5

3. TOEIC: 750

4. NEW TEPS: 285

The GIST University strongly recommends obtaining the English test score because the Korean Immigration Service may require an English or Korean test score for a VISA application.

Required Documents from Students

1. Official degrees and transcripts are required, or notarized copies are acceptable.

2. Two letters of recommendation must have the signatures and stamps of the recommenders.

3. The recommenders do not have to send the letters independently or separately.

4. Official English language test report.

5. A copy of the applicant’s passport is required.

Online Application Process

1. Submit the online application by uploading the required documents.

2. The International Admissions Coordinator will contact you when the application and all the required documents are confirmed. (Check My Status in the online application)

3. Notification of the admissions results by November 30, 2023

4. Apply for a student visa.
