Introduction

The EMMIR Erasmus Mundus Scholarship is open to all nationals. It is a 2 year Master’s Degree program that is based on the first semester in Germany, the second semester in Norway, the third semester is a research-based internship, and the fourth semester is dedicated to the thesis. EMMIR stands for European Master in Migration and Intercultural Relations. It’s an Erasmus Mundus joint master’s program that focuses on migration studies and intercultural relations. The scholarship is open to nationals of all countries. IELTS is not required. You can apply without a language test without any hassle. The duration of the scholarship is 2 years (four semesters).

Eligibility

  • The EMMIR Scholarship is open to all nationals.
  • Applicants must have completed a Bachelor’s degree (or an equivalent qualification)
  • The bachelor’s degree must be related to migration studies, such as social sciences, history, cultural studies, educational sciences, law, economics, development studies, and journalism.
  • Provide proof of degree, certificates, and transcripts.
  • The last degree obtained should not be older than 5 years. If obtained, make sure to explain in your statement of purpose why you chose to go back to university.
