Benefits

This scholarship offers students who will be enrolling in a postgraduate master’s or PhD program at Macquarie University a 30% award of total tuition fees. CONACYT will cover the remaining tuition fee according to its scholarship conditions, plus a monthly stipend of approximately USD $1,000 and Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC). Priority will be given to students commencing a non-business postgraduate coursework program who have completed a degree at an institution in Mexico.

Eligibility

  • Students should hold a Mexican nationality.
  • Students should have a full offer for either a single or double-degree course that is listed in the section below under "Applicable course."
  • Students should attain a minimum WAM of 65 or its equivalent when applying for a postgraduate coursework program.
  • Students should start their studies in the year and session specified in their offer letter for a scholarship.
  • Students must not, unless specifically indicated by the Scholarship Committee, have received funding or sponsorship for the degree from Macquarie University or another institution.

How to Apply

Students admitted to a postgraduate degree offered by Macquarie University should submit an application to CONACYT following the application procedures and standard requirements established by CONACYT.

  • Students must hold a full offer to be considered for the scholarship.
  • You must apply with CONACYT at any of the two reception periods of the year (April, and June).
