Introduction

The Artificial Intelligence and Data Science Postgraduate Scholarship is open to UK nationals. It is is offered for Master's degrees in the fields of Data Science, Business Analytics, FinTech, and Finance. The deadline for sending an application varies. This scholarship is provided by the University of Greenwich. 

The scholarship is available for both full-time and part-time study of this program and is intended to help students from under-represented groups finish their education and advance into the AI and Data science field.

Eligibility

  • To be eligible for the postgraduate master's loan, candidates must be residents of the United Kingdom or hold a valid nationality.
  • The applicant must be accepted into one of the eligible programs for the 2024–2025 academic year.
  • The candidate should have completed undergraduate coursework in either a far-STEM (such as biology, geography, psychology, or medicine) or non-STEM (such as politics, economics, business, or the arts) field.
  • The applicant should not have previously completed postgraduate coursework in key STEM subjects (e.g., physics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, IT) or in the same general topic area (e.g., computer science, AI, data science).
  • Applicants who are female students, black students, disabled students, and those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds are given first consideration.

Application Process:

  • Applicants should have used the University of Greenwich's online application form to apply for the MSc in Data Science and its Applications program.
  • The application must include a 300-word personal statement from the applicant outlining which of the nine scholarship eligibility requirements they meet, why they are applying for the course and the scholarship, and how they believe the scholarship will help them with the course and their future goals.
