About The University of the West Indies

The University of the West Indies (UWI) is a higher education institution in the Caribbean with five campuses and 10 global centers. It was founded in 1948 as an external college of the University of London and became fully independent in 1962. The UWI has been a driving force in Caribbean development for over 75 years and has nearly 50,000 students across its campuses.
