This Fellowship is organized by the Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study (JIAS) at the University of Johannesburg. Applicants can apply without Paying an Application Fee. The Theme of the 2025 JIAS Writing Fellowship Program is “Global Blackness.” The Fellowship explores the diverse experiences, intellectual traditions, and theories connected to Blackness across different geographies and contexts. The JIAS Writing Fellowship 2025 is a fully funded residential fellowship hosted by the Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study (JIAS).
