Applications are open for the JIAS Writing Fellowship 2025. It is a Fully Funded 3 Months Residency Program, and participants will Stay in Johannesburg, South Africa. This Fellowship is organized by the Johannesburg Institute for Advanced Study (JIAS) at the University of Johannesburg. Applicants can apply without Paying an Application Fee. The Theme of the 2025 JIAS Writing Fellowship Program is “Global Blackness.” The Fellowship explores the diverse experiences, intellectual traditions, and theories connected to Blackness across different geographies and contexts.
