ASEF LinkUp Program Scholarship 2026 in Slovenia | Fully Funded

It is a fully funded cultural diplomacy lab organized by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) that brings together arts and cultural sector participants and government representatives. The 2026 edition focuses on sustainability, ethics, and equity in international cultural relations, featuring online sessions, a 5-day in-person lab in Ljubljana, Slovenia, and a collaborative fieldbook project.

Applicants must be citizens of an ASEM partner country, at least 21 years old, and working in the arts or cultural sector (e.g., cultural practitioners, arts managers, curators, researchers, academics, museum professionals). They should have at least five years of international professional experience, be comfortable communicating in English, and be committed to participating in all phases of the program.

The program is fully funded. Selected participants receive return economy airfare, visa fee coverage, six nights of accommodation, a daily per diem, and refreshments and lunch during the in-person lab. There is no registration or participation fee.

The deadline to apply is Thursday, 27 August 2026, at 6:00 PM Singapore Time. Late submissions will not be considered.

The in-person lab takes place in Ljubljana, Slovenia, from 23 to 27 November 2026. Activities include workshops, interactive discussions, site visits, and networking events at venues such as Center Rog.

The program consists of three phases: Phase 1 – five online pre-sessions from 15 October to 12 November 2026; Phase 2 – a 5-day in-person lab in Ljubljana from 23 to 27 November 2026; Phase 3 – up to three online sessions from December 2026 to February 2027 for the Fieldbook, Futures, and Connections.

Up to 10 mid-career arts and cultural sector professionals will be selected, joining an equal number of government representatives. This total of around 20 participants fosters a dynamic exchange between arts and policy sectors.
