NTNU Pedagogy Scholarship 2026 in Norway | Fully Funded

The NTNU Pedagogy Scholarship is connected to university pedagogy at the Department of Education and Lifelong Learning. It involves teaching, supervision, pedagogical guidance, conducting research in university pedagogy, participating in interdisciplinary projects, and contributing to pedagogical development and dissemination at NTNU.

Eligible candidates should hold a doctorate or equivalent qualification preferably in university pedagogy, adult learning, pedagogy, educational science, philosophy or sociology, or a similarly relevant field. Applicants must document research within university pedagogy and educational competence for university-level teaching and supervision.

Applicants must have good oral and written communication skills in a Scandinavian language and English. If an applicant does not speak Norwegian, they must demonstrate Norwegian at level B2 within three years via the course for foreign speakers at NTNU; Swedish or Danish competence is considered equivalent.

Applications must be submitted electronically via Jobbnorge and include CV, certificates and diplomas, a pedagogical portfolio, a comprehensive presentation (up to 6 pages), scientific works (up to 8), a description of significant works (up to 3 pages), a complete publication list, project information, and three references.

Applications are evaluated based on documented materials at the application deadline. Assessment focuses on education, experience, personal and interpersonal skills, teaching and supervision experience, scientific work (especially the last five years), research leadership and participation in projects, and quality and breadth of academic contributions.

The position provides a salary range for associate professor (code 1011) normally from NOK 750,000 to NOK 900,000 gross per year depending on qualifications and seniority. A 2% statutory contribution to the Norwegian State Pension Fund is deducted from the salary. Employment follows Government Employees Act provisions.
