Each year, the Foundation selects up to four PhD Fellowships. In 2025, four awards will again be available, offering significant support to eligible candidates driven to advance health research.

The Fellowships focus on PhD studies in occupational health and environmental health. They fund research designed to understand, prevent, or mitigate health risks tied to workplace or environmental exposures.

How long is each Fellowship?

Typically, the PhD Fellowships last for three years. Partial funding may be granted for shorter durations if applicants have started their PhD and need support to complete without full funding.

What funding is included?

Who submits the application?

Applicants must submit their own application, with supervisor input on feasibility. Documents (research outline, CV, supervisor’s support letter, referees) must be bundled into a single Word file.

How and when do I apply?

Send your application in Word format via email to the Director. The deadline appears on the  Dates & Events  page. Applications close at 12pm on the stated day, two weeks before any interview decision.
