Zero-Carbon Energy Research Eligibility Criteria

• Higher level required (English language level).
• Applicants should hold, or be expected to achieve, a first-class or strong upper second-class undergraduate degree (or equivalent).
• Eligible academic backgrounds include engineering-related fields such as architecture, physics, chemistry, materials science, mathematics, computer science, earth or environmental sciences.
• Applicants with a relevant social science degree, including economics, geography, public policy, sociology, or anthropology, may also apply.
• A previous master’s degree is not required.
• Applicants whose first language is not English must meet Oxford’s higher-level English language requirement. For example, IELTS Academic requires an overall score of 7.5, with at least 7.0 in each component.
• Applicants must provide three references who can give an informed assessment of their academic ability and suitability for the course.
