Youth Bioeconomy Project 2026 is a global call by the World Food Forum Youth Assembly and FAO to showcase youth-led bioeconomy projects driving sustainable agrifood systems transformation. Young people and youth organizations are invited to submit their initiatives to amplify youth voices and shape future bioeconomy policies.

The World Food Forum (WFF) is a youth-led global network hosted by FAO, focused on transforming agrifood systems. This initiative collaborates with FAO’s Office of Climate Change, Biodiversity and Environment to gather evidence-based insights and develop youth policy recommendations for international decision-makers.

Eligibility Criteria for the Youth Bioeconomy Project 2026

  • Projects must demonstrate impact, innovation, or scalability.
  • Focus on agrifood systems including agriculture, forestry, fisheries, aquaculture, One Health, biodiversity, and related value chains.
  • Be led by a young individual or youth-led entity (organizations, companies, collectives, initiatives, or movements, formal or informal).
  • Young people aged 18โ€“35 and youth-led organizations engaged in bioeconomy are eligible.
  • Submissions are welcome in all UN languages: Arabic, Chinese, English, French, Russian, and Spanish.
