YoLe Fellowship Program Eligibility Criteria

  • Youth aged between 18 – 30 years and resident in Ghana
  • Qualifications from accredited tertiary institutions
  • Able to commit to the full one-year program on-site in Accra
  • Proactive with strong interpersonal skills
  • Proficient in English
  • Passionate about leadership, sustainable development, peace and security, human rights
  • Demonstrate drive for change in sectors like social entrepreneurship, agribusiness, innovation, AI, community development
  • Interest and dedication to development issues and Ghana’s 2030 Agenda
  • Affiliation with youth-led organizations, NGOs, CSOs, or government youth development projects

How to Apply for YoLe Fellowship Program?

  1. Submit a motivation letter (not more than 500 words) stating your motivation, professional goals, and what you hope to achieve
  2. Submit your C.V./Resume
  3. Provide proof of identity (Ghana Card, Valid Passport, or Birth Certificate)
  4. Provide evidence of health insurance (National Health Insurance is acceptable)
  5. Upload all documents through the application link: https://forms.gle/BtTDMrV8gRGPG7yA8 no later than 11:59 p.m. on 14th May, 2026

What is the duration of the YoLe Fellowship Program?

The program is a one-year fellowship, running from September 2026 to August 2027. Fellows must commit to the full duration and engage Monday to Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., sometimes on weekends.

Will I receive a certificate after completing the YoLe Fellowship?

Fellows who complete at least 10 months of the program and all academic requirements will receive a Master’s Degree in Youth Leadership and Development from the University of Ghana and a fellowship completion certificate.

Who is not eligible to apply for the YoLe Fellowship?

Former interns of UNFPA or former YoLe Fellows, and children, siblings, or spouses of active UNFPA staff members are not eligible to apply.
