WomenLift Health Scholarship 2027 in Nigeria | Fully Funded

It is a fully funded 12-month hybrid leadership development programme for mid-to-senior career women working in health and interconnected fields, referred to as Health++. It combines virtual learning, mentoring, one-on-one executive coaching, leadership assessments, two in-person residencies, and a Health Leadership Project. The programme runs from August 2026 to October 2027 and supports 30 women leaders in Nigeria.

Applicants must identify as a woman, be fluent in written and verbal English, be a citizen who resides and works in Nigeria, and live in the WAT (+/-1 hour) time zone for at least 75% of the programme. They must have 10–25 years of work experience in health++ and represent diverse sectors such as public, private, academia, NGO, and philanthropy.

Eligible Health++ fields include climate change, food systems and agriculture, water and sanitation, education, economic policy, gender equity, and technology. These are considered interconnected fields that influence health outcomes. The programme is open to women working in health and any of these fields in Nigeria. Applicants should be mid-to-senior career leaders with 10–25 years of work experience.

The fully funded benefit covers tuition, travel, and lodging. Participants also receive mentoring groups with senior leaders, one-on-one executive coaching, leadership assessments including a 360-rater evaluation, approximately 87 total learning hours, two in-person residencies, access to a lifelong Global Fellows network, and support to design and implement a Health Leadership Project.

The application deadline is 11:59pm on 18 September 2026. Applicants must submit their completed application form, letter of recommendation, and Health Leadership Project proposal before this date. The programme lasts 12 months, from August 2026 to October 2027. It includes virtual sessions and two in-person residencies: an Immersion residency in July 2027 and a Lift-Off residency in April 2028. Participants complete approximately 87 total learning hours during this period. All costs are covered.

Selection is based on eligibility, leadership potential, and the strength of the Health Leadership Project proposal. Applicants must provide a letter of recommendation from a supervisor or senior leader. A cohort size of 30 women leaders is selected for the 2027 Nigeria Leadership Journey. Diverse sectors are represented.
