UNDP Web & Social Media Internship 2026 is an exciting remote opportunity for students and young professionals who are passionate about digital communication, social media management, and international development. Hosted by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), this internship offers participants the chance to contribute to global initiatives that support sustainable development, poverty reduction, good governance, climate action, and social inclusion across more than 170 countries and territories.

The internship is connected to UNDP’s Sustainable Finance Hub (SFH), which promotes innovative financing solutions to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Interns will support communication and outreach activities related to international projects, including the Taskforce on Inequality and Social-related Financial Disclosures (TISFD), a global initiative focused on addressing social and inequality-related challenges. Through this experience, participants will gain valuable exposure to UN operations, digital engagement strategies, stakeholder communications, and sustainable development initiatives on a global scale.

Eligibility Criteria

• Master’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, Languages, or a related field Fluency in French and English (mandatory)
• Strong experience in writing, editing, proofreading, and translating content (French–English) Proven ability to manage and produce digital content for web and social media platforms
• Experience with social media management (especially Twitter/X and Facebook) for audience engagement and campaigns
• Familiarity with CMS platforms, preferably Drupal/Acquia, for web publishing Understanding of digital communication strategies, analytics, and performance reporting
• Ability to curate, review, and optimize multimedia content (text, images, video, captions) Experience working in multilingual, international, or remote team environments
• Strong attention to detail, quality assurance, and user experience improvement mindset Working knowledge of Spanish is an asset (optional)
