European Ocean Coalition (EU4Ocean)

The European Ocean Coalition, commonly known as EU4Ocean, is a comprehensive European Union initiative dedicated to fostering ocean literacy and promoting sustainable marine conservation practices across Europe. Established to connect diverse ocean stakeholders, this coalition brings together educators, youth organizations, research institutions, and civil society groups to create a collaborative platform for ocean awareness and action. EU4Ocean focuses on three primary components: the EU4Ocean Platform for stakeholder collaboration, the Youth4Ocean Forum engaging young Europeans, and the Network of European Blue Schools integrating ocean topics into educational curricula. The initiative supports projects that enhance public understanding of ocean sustainability, marine biodiversity, and the critical role oceans play in climate regulation.
