Eligibility Criteria

  • Be non-Chinese citizens with valid passport
  • Abide by the laws and regulations of China as well as regulations of SWUFE.
  • Education Background:
    • Be a bachelor’s degree holder when applying for master’s degree program;
    • Be a master’s degree holder when applying for doctoral degree program;
    • Applicants who will graduate in 2025 shall obtain a national recognized corresponding diploma before enrollment. Otherwise, the admission qualification will be invalid.
  • Age Limit:
    • Applying for master’s degree program: under the age of 35.
    • Applying for doctoral degree program: under the age of 40.
  • Applicants whose native language is English, or can provide proof of studying in a 2-year or above degree program in which the medium of instruction is English, do not need to provide language certificate.

How to Apply?

  • Register at the CSC Online Application System and submit your application. Choose Scholarship Type B and enter Agency Number 10651. Make sure all personal information is complete.
  • Submit your application online at the SWUFE International Students Service System with all required documents and your CSC application form.
  • Pay the application fee of 600 RMB to complete your SWUFE application.
  • Prepare and upload all supporting documents, including: recent passport photo, degree certificate or proof of pending graduation, academic transcripts, two recommendation letters, study plan or research proposal, valid language certificate (HSK/IELTS/TOEFL if needed), first page of your passport, foreigner physical exam form, and non-criminal record or commitment letter. Ensure all documents are in English or Chinese, with notarized translations if required.
  • Submit both applications before the 28 February 2026 deadline (Beijing Time) to allow sufficient time for review.
  • Wait for the university review. If approved, SWUFE will send a Pre-admission Letter. The CSC will then confirm your scholarship, after which you will receive the official admission documents and visa forms.
