Eligibility Criteria

To be considered for the SEDarc Scholarship UK, you must:

  • Be UK or international students.
  • Be nominated by one of the six  SEDarc institutions to apply to the doctoral programme.
  • Have qualifications or professional experience equivalent to a Master’s degree, or hold a Master’s degree and already possess the research skills needed to successfully complete the PhD project.
  • Students who do not already hold a Master’s degree in the social sciences may also be eligible for funding to undertake an approved Master’s course within the SEDarc consortium (see website for details).
  • Contact one of the administrators at your chosen SEDarc institution, as each institution has a different deadline and process for the institutional stage of the application.
