The Sydney International Undergraduate Academic Excellence Scholarships is open to all nationals. The award aims to recognize and support exceptional students from diverse priority markets as they pursue their undergraduate studies across a wide range of disciplines. Our goal is to empower these bright minds to fulfill their academic aspirations, contribute to our vibrant campus culture, and become future leaders in their chosen fields.

The University of Sydney, commonly known as USYD, is a prestigious institution located in Sydney, Australia. With a large student body of over 69,000 students and a dedicated staff of 8,400, the university offers a vibrant academic environment. Known for its academic excellence and diverse community, USYD provides a range of opportunities for students to engage in extracurricular activities, join clubs and societies, and enhance their social and academic experiences. The university emphasizes the importance of a balanced lifestyle, encouraging students to excel academically while also fostering a rich social life.

The scholarship will provide the below benefits for the published full-time duration of the recipient’s single undergraduate degree (including embedded honours) up to a maximum total duration of 4 years full-time study.

• 100% tuition fees, and
• Student Services Amenities Fee.

No other amount is payable. Recipients are responsible for all other costs for studying at the University of Sydney including but not limited to, Overseas Health Cover (OSHC), living costs, accommodation, textbooks, flights and costs associated with being under the age of 18.

• Have applied for but not yet commenced a single undergraduate coursework degree at the University of Sydney, which has a maximum duration of 4 years.
• Enroll full-time in their eligible degree.
• Not be commencing a second degree at the University of Sydney.
• Be an international student as defined in the Higher Education Support Act 2003. Australian Citizens, Australian Permanent Residents, and dual citizens with Australian nationality are not eligible.
• Have completed secondary school or a foundation program in Australia or from a University of Sydney recognized foundation partner.
• Not have previously undertaken any tertiary studies (excluding extension studies completed as part of a year 12 program).
