Scholarship Eligibility

  • Accessible to students starting in Semester 1 or 2 of the Institute for Marine & Antarctic Studies (IMAS) Master of Marine and Antarctic Science program.
  • The selection process will take into account the applicant's academic standing, desire to work in the sector, and career objectives that complement AMSA's vision and purpose.
  • The program offers specialized tracks for students to pursue in-depth study in a specific field of marine science together with a research project and a more generalized research technique.
  • Graduates will benefit from being able to contribute to global concerns including marine stewardship, climate change, and seafood production and security.
  • The selected applicant may be eligible for mentoring by an AMSA employee.
  • If the application is accepted, the successful candidate may be eligible for work assignments with AMSA.
  • The applicant must have at least a passing grade in each semester's modules studied.
