The Fully Funded University of Sydney Postgraduate Research Scholarship is open to domestic and international students who wish to pursue postgraduate research in the Faculty of Science at the University of Sydney.

Benefits

The benefits of the Fully Funded University of Sydney Postgraduate Research Scholarship are:

 

1. A one-off stipend allowance of $7,000 (full-time enrolment).

2. Academic Tuition fee (international students only) for the research period(s) related to the award period(s).

3. A part-time recipient will be provided with a stipend allowance of $3,500 for 6 months, i.e., two installments @$3,500.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded University of Sydney Postgraduate Research Scholarship are stated below:

1. Eligible Countries: Domestic and international students both can apply.

2. Eligible Course or Subjects: Students can apply for a PhD program in the Faculty of Science.

3. Be currently enrolled in a Higher Degree by Research course within the Faculty of Science at the time of application

4. Not have consumed the maximum candidature for their degree as per the University of Sydney (Higher Degree by Research) Rule 2011Policy at the time of application closing date

5. Not currently hold another primary scholarship for the intended duration of this Scholarship

6. Have completed at least 1.5 Equivalent Full Time Student Load (EFTSL) (MPhil recipients) of candidature, and Ph.D. recipients must have completed at least 3 EFTSL of candidature

7. Have a reasonable expectation of submitting their thesis within six months from the commencement of the award

8. Not have submitted thesis by the closing date of application.

1. The students must first submit an online application form. Eligible applicants will be considered for the scholarship award.

6. Marriage/change of name certificate/identification

7. Degree certificates

8. Admission Requirements: The applicants must have an honors degree (First Class or Second Class Upper) or equivalent or master’s degree.

9. Language Requirement: The students must submit scores of the following English language proficiency tests:
