The University of Bristol International Scholarship is offered to not only home country national students but also international students that want to undertake full-time or part-time PhD study at the University of Bristol. The students that have a relevant master’s degree qualification and an interest in the museum sector are eligible candidates that may win this studentship and be awarded a home rate tuition fee and a stipend of £16,062.

The University of Bristol International Scholarship will provide the selected PhD candidates with a tuition fee for the undertake PhD programme at the Home fee rate and a stipend of £16,062.

Eligibility

  • Eligible Countries: All domestic and international students are eligible to apply for this University of Bristol International Scholarship.
  • Eligible Course or Subjects: PhD study programme offered at the Department of Anthropology and Archaeology at the University of Bristol can be applied for.
  • Eligibility Criteria: To be eligible, the applicants must meet all the following/given criteria:
  • The applicants must demonstrate an interest in the museum sector and potential and enthusiasm for developing skills more widely in related areas.

  • How to Apply: Students can submit applications online via the university portal. While applying, interested students must select Anthropology and Archaeology PhD on the Programme Choice page. They will then be prompted to enter details of the studentship in the Funding and Research Details sections of the form.
  • Supporting Documents: The students are required to present the following documents to the university:
  • Research proposal
  • CV
  • Writing sample
  • Personal statement
  • Admission Requirements: The applicants must have or expect to receive a relevant Masters-level qualification and demonstrate equivalent experience in a professional setting.
  • Language Requirement: The students must submit scores on the following English language proficiency tests:
  • IELTS – 6.5
  • ESOL – Level 1 or 2
  • CPE/CAE – 176 overall
  • PTE – 58
  • TOEFL IBT – 90
  • LanguageCert – B2
