The Fully Funded SCUT Chinese Government Scholarship is open to all nationals. It is currently accepting applications for Master’s and Ph.D. degree programs at the university. Situated in Guangzhou, China, SCUT, established in 1952, is a prominent public university and one of the oldest in the region.

The university extends various scholarships to international students worldwide. The language of instruction will be either Chinese or English, depending on the specific degree program.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded SCUT Chinese Government Scholarship are stated below:

1. Applicants must be of non-Chinese nationality and in good health.

2. Must be an International Student out of China, or graduates of Chinese universities are eligible to apply for this scholarship.

3. Excellent performance in study.

4. Applicants should have good ability in scientific research

5. Applicants for Master’s degree students must be under the age of 35, and doctoral degree students must be under the age of 40.

4. Two Letters of Recommendation

5. Personal statement or Study Plan, or Research Proposal

6. Proof of Language Proficiency

7. Photocopy of Foreigner Physical Examination Form

8. Acceptance Letter (Must)

9. Or any other supporting documents

Language Requirements at SCUT:

1. Chinese medium courses: report of HSK4 or above (score: 210 or above, valid for two years), English level certificate.

2. English medium courses: IELTS (5.5 or above) or TOEFL (80 or above) report (valid for two years) Or English proficiency certificate provided by previous academic institutions. (IELTS is not Mandatory)
