Introduction

The Fully Funded PhD Scholarship in Computational Biophysics at RMIT in Australia is open to all nationals. It is offered for a PhD degree in the field of Computational Biophysics. The deadline for sending an application varies. This scholarship is provided by the RMIT University.

With the support of the Computational Biophysics Group at RMIT's School of Science (Physics Discipline), this scholarship offers a gifted student the chance to work on a National Institutes of Health (USA)-funded computer-based molecular biophysics project for their Ph.D.

Benefits

All successful applicants will receive $30,000 per year for 3 years from RMIT University. Students who already have a scholarship can have this scholarship as an add-on and would receive $10,000 per year.

Eligibility

  • Applicants must have a first-class Honours degree (or equivalent Masters by Research) in physics, chemistry, biophysics, biology, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Students can be both domestic and international students.
  • Applicants must be competitive or recently competitive for an APA, with the intent to apply/reapply during the scholarship.
  • Preferably, I have research experience involving computation in condensed matter physics/physical chemistry/computational biology techniques.
  • Possess a strong desire to study biological problems using physical and chemical methods and a passion for molecular science and modern supercomputing.
