Introduction

The Fully Funded MOFCOM Scholarship in China is open to all nationals. It is available to study for Master’s and PhD degree programs. These are sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China. The scholarship aims to cultivate top-tier corporate executives and managerial staff in the recipient countries. These programs provide support to governmental officials, research associates, and senior managerial staff with their master’s and doctoral studies in China, which are entirely conducted in English.

To get admission, applicants must have a bachelor’s degree, decent physical condition, and relevant working experience, which is crucial for the degree-required high-compact curriculum.

Benefits

The benefits of the Fully Funded MOFCOM Scholarship in China are:

1. Candidates are provided with tuition fees, research and survey fees, allowance of English-taught programs, teaching material fees, and dissertation guidance fees.

2. Free on-campus accommodation.

3. Monthly stipend:

a) For Master students: 36000RMB per year

b) For PhD students: 42000RMB per year

4. One-off resettlement fee: 3000RMB per person.

5. Free medical insurance is provided for international students.

6. For all students, one-time round-trip international airfare ( Fly to China for the first time after enrollment, and the second time return home after graduation) and a visit home a maximum of “n-1” round-trip international airfares (once a year, at the end of the academic year) is also provided.

7. Candidates are required to complete the annual review. Those who pass the exam could keep their full scholarships for the next year.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for the Fully Funded MOFCOM Scholarship in China are stated below:

1. Applicants must be citizens of a developing nation other than the People’s Republic of China to qualify for this scholarship.

2. Must be under the age of 45.

3. Applicants must be physically and mentally fit and healthy and submit a physical examination report issued by a local public hospital.

4. Applicants should not be having any situation or disease listed below:

i) Severely physically challenged

ii) Pregnancy

iii) In the recovery phase after an acute disease attack or major surgery.

iv) Diseases prohibited by Quarantine Laws and Regulations and Chinese Entry-Exit Inspection.

v) Other severe chronic diseases like cardio-cerebrovascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure; psychological diseases; or other severe or infectious diseases that may harm public health.

5. Must have at least three years of relevant working experience.

6. Applicants for a bachelor’s degree must have a master’s degree and must hold a master’s degree when applying for a doctoral program.

7. Applicants must have English language proficiency equivalent to IELTS 6.0 or a TOEFL score of 80 or higher in order to be considered for the program.
