Scholarship Eligibility

Indian citizens residing in India at the time of application, applying through an authorized Deakin agent based in India, and meeting the academic eligibility criteria.

Applicants are selected based on:

  • Academic performance (meeting minimum eligibility criteria)
  • A personal statement
  • References on community engagement or leadership capacity
  • Review of academic transcripts and application to study at Deakin
  • Potential interview

You are required to submit:

  • A personal statement (300 words)
  • Two references who can comment on your community engagement and/or leadership capacity
  • A completed application to study at Deakin, including academic transcripts.
