The Fully Funded Chevening LSE Fellowship in UK is open to citizens from China. It is hosted by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). It is by the UK Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office. The British Embassy and British Consulates-General in China work closely with several key Chinese institutions and top UK universities to support the professional development of mid-career fellows in key thematic sectors throughout distinct research fellowship programs.
Successful applicants can spend up to three, six, or nine months working on a defined research project at LSE. Fellows are hosted in an LSE department, institute, or center in line with their research interests and are assigned an adviser.
During their time at the LSE, fellows are expected to work on their research and complete a paper, which is then presented at the LSE at the end of the period covered by the fellowship. Where relevant and available, fellows can audit lectures (with the teacher’s permission) and participate in appropriate seminars and discussion groups at LSE.
Applications are open across the social sciences with a particular emphasis on international relations, public policy and administration, public diplomacy, social, economic, and environmental policy, and development issues and require a research proposal.
