Scholarship Description

The Ben Cowen Scholarship at University of Melbourne in Australia is open to all nationals. It is offered for Bachelor's degree in the field of Historical, philosophical, political, and social studies; Language, literature, and cultural studies. The deadline for sending an application varies. This scholarship is provided by the University of Melbourne.

The Ben Cowen Scholarship supports commencing Bachelor of Arts students from a non-English speaking background and refugee and/or migrant backgrounds. The Scholarship provides a stipend for the duration of a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Scholarship Benefits

Students will receive up to $30,000 and provide a stipend for the duration of a Bachelor of Arts degree paid in two installments a year.

Scholarship Eligibility

  • Applicants must have applied for a University of Melbourne Bachelor of Arts degree via VTAC Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) for commencement in the year following completion of Year 12 or International Baccalaureate.
  • Candidates should be from a non-English speaking background.
  • Students must be from a refugee and/or migrant background.
