Citizens from non-EU countries can apply if they have good academic results. They need an average of at least 7 in the Romanian grading system or a “Good” score. Applicants cannot have Romanian citizenship. They must also meet certain age requirements. For Bachelor’s and Master’s studies, they should be under 35. For PhD studies, they should be under 45.
Applicants can choose from many fields. These include Architecture, Visual Arts, Romanian Culture and Civilization, Journalism, and Political Sciences. Other options are Administrative Sciences, Engineering, Education Sciences, Social Sciences, Human Sciences, Technical Studies, Oil and Gas, Agricultural Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine. Scholarships are not awarded in the fields of Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy.
Applicants need to make an account on the Study in Romania platform. They need to upload several documents. These include copies of their diplomas. If needed, the diplomas should have authorized translations. They also need to provide transcripts of their completed studies. A birth certificate is required as well. Additionally, they must upload the first three pages of their passport or national identity card. Lastly, a curriculum vitae in English or French is necessary.
