Applications are now open for the Poland Government Stefan Banach Scholarship 2026, designed to support international students from developing countries in pursuing second-degree studies at top Polish universities. The scholarship covers programs in engineering, technical sciences, agricultural sciences, exact sciences, and life sciences, offered in Polish or English under the supervision of the Ministry of Education and Science. Benefits

Scholarship is Funded by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). The Scholarship Covers:

• No tuition fees at public universities
• Monthly stipend provided
• PLN 1,700 per month during the preparatory course (note: no student discounts apply).
• PLN 1,500 per month during second-cycle studies.
• First monthly scholarship in the first year of studies increased by PLN 500.
• Last monthly scholarship in the final year of studies increased by PLN 500.
• One-time additional PLN 500 may be granted in case of a documented unexpected event.
• Scholarships are paid through the course centre or the university where the student is enrolled.

• Should have a bachelor’s degree.
• Not have previously been granted a scholarship under the Program.
• Speak English at least at the B2 level.

How are Applicants Selected?

• Recommendation by a diplomatic and consular mission, non-governmental organization or university = 40%
• The arithmetic average of grades for the first-cycle studies on the diploma of completion of the first-cycle studies or on the certificate confirming the arithmetic average of grades = 60%
