Outstanding academic record
An excellent academic record is essential. The majority of successful scholars usually have at least a first-class honours degree or its equivalent. For example, a GPA score of at least 3.7, if the mark is out of 4, noting that a lot of the Clarendon scholars achieve higher than this score.
Not just “best in your school” — you need to be in the top echelon of students in your country. The scheme is ridiculously competitive — only 4 or 5 are awarded per year, for thousands of applications. I have never actually met anyone who received this Scholarship — in three years at Oxford.
The 1+1 MBA program combines a Master’s degree with an MBA. Eligible Master’s programs include the Master of Public Policy (MPP), MSc in Criminology and Criminal Justice, and MSc in Computer Science, among others.
The application deadline is January 6, 2025.
Selection is based on academic achievement, leadership potential, strong personal character, commitment to addressing global challenges, and a clear vision of how the Oxford 1+1 MBA will help achieve these objectives.
