The Online School on Human Rights 2026 is a free 6-week online course hosted by the University of Galway’s Irish Centre for Human Rights and partner universities. Yes, upon completion of the lectures and the group project, participants will receive certificates issued by all partner universities. The workload is equivalent to 3 ECTS (subject to recognition by the student’s host university).

The course covers four thematic blocks: human rights and institutions, new frontiers of human rights (digital rights, gender, migration), human rights appropriation and early-warning systems, and human rights advocacy and citizens’ engagement.
