Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

Here are the most frequently asked questions about the Olam Agri Africa Finance Program. These answers cover eligibility, benefits, deadlines, and how to apply.

What is the application deadline, and when will the portal close?

The application deadline will be displayed on the application portal once the campaign goes live. Because the portal is time-bound, we strongly recommend applying as early as possible rather than waiting for the last day.

Can I apply to more than one country/posting?

You should submit one application and indicate your preferred country/posting. If you are open to multiple countries, state this clearly in your application. Final placement decisions consider business needs, language fit, and mobility.

Will I receive confirmation that my application was submitted?

Yes — once you submit your application, the portal will acknowledge receipt and allow communication/tracking. If you do not receive an acknowledgement, check your spam/junk folder and ensure your email address was entered correctly.

My certification is in progress — can I still apply?

If your certification is in progress, you may still apply provided you clearly indicate the status and can share proof of enrollment. Final selection remains conditional on meeting the certification requirement during verification.

I have more than 5 years of experience — am I eligible?

The target is around 3–5 years to keep the cohort at a comparable level. If you have more than 5 years, you may still apply; your application will be reviewed case-by-case depending on role fit, seniority level, and programme pathway fit.

What is the timeline from application to final decision?

Approximately 2 months from application submission to final decision.

Are the assessments timed? What if I have connectivity issues?

Yes, assessments are timed. You will receive system checks and a practice link to confirm your device and connectivity. If you face a genuine technical issue, contact the support channel immediately so it can be logged and handled.

Will interviews be in English only?

English is the main language and is mandatory. For francophone/lusophone countries, part of the process can include French or Portuguese to ensure fairness and allow candidates to express technical depth.

Can I apply if I have mobility restrictions?

Mobility is a core expectation. You can still apply, but be transparent about restrictions from the start. Restrictions may impact eligibility or the range of locations you can be considered for.

Should I expect upcountry/remote assignments?

Initial phases may be in major cities, but postings can include upcountry or remote locations depending on business needs.
