Eligibility Criteria for Malaysia International Scholarship 2026
- Applicants must be citizens of the eligible MIS recipient countries.
- Applicants must intend to pursue full-time postgraduate studies (Master’s or PhD) in Malaysia.
- Applicants currently studying in Malaysian universities may apply if they have at least two semesters remaining.
- Applicants must not be older than 40 years for Master’s degree programs.
- Applicants must not be older than 45 years for PhD programs.
- Master’s applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or Second Class Upper (Honours) at Bachelor’s level.
- PhD applicants must have a minimum CGPA of 3.00 or excellent academic results in their Master’s degree.
- Applicants must demonstrate English language proficiency.

Applicants must meet one of the following English language requirements:
- IELTS score of 6.0 or higher
- TOEFL score of 550 or higher (paper-based test)
- Proof that the previous degree was taught in English (official declaration required)
