The ONGC Scholarship 2025-26, a flagship initiative by the Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) Foundation, is a transformative opportunity for meritorious Indian students from economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Rooted in ONGC’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) efforts, this merit-based scholarship supports 2,000 students annually, providing ₹48,000 per annum (₹4,000 per month) to cover tuition, books, and other academic expenses. 

It targets first-year students pursuing professional courses like Engineering, MBBS, MBA, and Master’s in Geology or Geophysics, with 50% of scholarships reserved for female students to promote gender equality. Open to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), and General (Economically Weaker Sections – EWS) categories, the program fosters inclusive education across India. 

Category of ONGC Scholarship 2025

SC/ST Category:

• Annual family income must be less than ₹4.5 lakh.
• Must belong to the SC/ST community with a valid caste certificate.

OBC Category:

• Annual family income must be less than ₹2 lakh.
• Must belong to OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) with a valid OBC certificate.

General (EWS) Category:

• Must meet EWS criteria as per Government of India norms.
• Annual family income must be less than ₹2 lakh.
