Since 1997, the Heinrich-Böll-Foundation supports graduates from Latin America through its Sur-Place Programme in Mexico. The programme aims at strengthening and professionalising the expert and leadership potential in Central America. Through the expertise and experience gained as part of the programme, participants are to be enabled to contribute with innovative ideas and initiatives to the development of a stable civil society.
The programme enables graduates to participate in selected postgraduate courses at renowned universities and scientific institutions in Mexico in the fields of anthropology, social sciences, communication, economics, urban studies, rural development, international relations, public policy or natural resources. The research project must be related to one of the Böll Foundation's fields of work.
Graduates of a Bachelor's or Master's programme or equivalent
Citizens of Costa Rica, Cuba, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, Nicaragua and El Salvador
