Lille Eiffel Scholarship 2027 in France | Fully Funded

Lille Eiffel Scholarship 2027 supports international candidates for doctoral mobility; Lille Eiffel Scholarship enables funding for PhD stays of 12, 18 or 36 months depending on entry year and supervision arrangements.

The scholarship is promoted via the University of Lille’s EGSESAM graduate school and coordinated with Campus France and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs. Applications require institutional review and supervisor endorsement through the school’s submission procedures.

Lille Eiffel Scholarship Benefits

  • Living support: €2,000 per month, with travel and insurance services under Eiffel rules.
  • Housing assistance does not mean free rent.
  • While fee exemptions and remaining expenses must be verified independently, Eiffel offers a living allowance and supporting services.
  • Subject to program requirements, the doctoral allowance is accompanied by insurance, domestic and international transportation assistance, and help finding housing.
  • For qualifying national diplomas at qualified public universities, holders of French government scholarships are not required to pay registration fees.
  • There are no extra training costs for Eiffel. Request written confirmation from Lille on the exemption that applies to your PhD and any outstanding fees.
  • Create a budget for your first arrival costs, a housing deposit, and rent. Additionally, demonstrate how the remainder of the PhD will be paid for in the event of a shorter research stay.
  • While a 12-month scholarship is a significant amount of assistance, it is hardly three years of funding.
  • Eiffel cannot be paired with an Agence Universitaire de la Francophonie scholarship, Erasmus+, or another French government scholarship. Eiffel status is also incompatible with a salaried doctoral contract. Before suggesting a combination, have Lille examine your current funds.
