Kyoto University ADB Scholarship is a fully funded scholarship in Japan. Kyoto University is a national university in Kyoto, Japan. It is the second oldest Japanese university, one of Asia’s highest ranked universities and one of Japan’s National Seven Universities. Now Asian Development Bank Japan is offering Kyoto University ADB Scholarship 2026 in Japan. All International Students from all over the world are eligible to apply for Asian Development Bank Scholarship. ADB Japan is a Fully Funded Scholarship to pursue a Masters degree at Kyoto University. There is No Application Fee to apply for the Scholarship. Eligibility Criteria for Kyoto University ADB Scholarship

  • Be a national of an ADB Country given above.
  • Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent with a superior academic record.
  • At least two (2) years of full-time professional working experience (acquired after a university degree) at a time of application.
  • Not more than 35 years old at the time of application. In exceptional cases, for programs that are appropriate for senior officials and managers, the age limit is 45 years old.
  • Agree to return to your home country after completing the program.

What is the Asian Development Bank–Japan Scholarship Program?

The Asian Development Bank–Japan Scholarship Program (ADB–JSP) was established in April 1988 with financing from the Government of Japan. It aims to provide an opportunity for well-qualified citizens of ADB’s developing member countries to undertake graduate studies in economics, management, science and technology, and other development-related fields at participating academic institutions in the Asian and Pacific Region.

Yes. You may apply to more than one institution simultaneously. However, you should mention this in the application form.

Yes. Applicants should not be more than 35 years of age at the time of application, unless waived in exceptional cases with the expressed endorsement of the Government of Japan.

Does ADB–JSP provide an allowance for dependents?

No. ADB–JSP provides funding for the scholar only and does not cover expenses for the scholar’s spouse or other dependents.
