KNU International Graduate Scholarship 2026 in South Korea | Fully Funded

The KNU International Graduate Scholarship 2026 is a fully funded scholarship program offered by Kyungpook National University in South Korea for international students pursuing Master’s and Doctoral degree programs. It covers 100% of tuition fees for eligible graduate courses during the 2026-27 academic year.

All international students from any nationality are eligible to apply. Applicants must have received an offer of study in an applicable Master’s or Doctoral program at Kyungpook National University. The scholarship is open for both 2-year Master’s/Doctoral programs and 4-year combined Master’s & Doctoral programs.

The scholarship provides 100% tuition fee coverage for the graduate program. However, scholarships are reviewed after every semester, and continuation of the scholarship into another semester is not guaranteed. The funding specifically covers tuition costs for approved courses.

The application deadline for the KNU International Graduate Scholarship 2026 is 1st May 2026. This deadline applies for the Fall semester 2026 intake, with the online application period running from March 30 to May 1, 2026, and document submission until May 7, 2026.

There is no separate application process for the KNU International Graduate Scholarship. All candidates who enroll in approved courses at Kyungpook National University will automatically be considered for this scholarship. Students should apply for admission to their chosen graduate program through the university’s standard application process.

Required documents include a completed application form, statement of purpose and study plan, recommendation letter, degree certificate or graduation certificate, official transcripts, language proficiency test results (TOPIK, IELTS, TOEFL iBT), certificate of enrollment at a Korean language institute (if applicable), copy of alien registration card, copy of passport, birth certificate or family census register, and portfolio for fine art or design departments.

Applicants must provide proof of Korean language proficiency (TOPIK Level 3 or higher) or English language proficiency (TOEFL iBT 59, IELTS Academic 5.5, CEFR B2, NEW TEPS 202 or higher). Native English speakers from specific countries are exempt from English test requirements. Some departments may have higher language requirements.

For Master’s programs, international applicants must hold or be about to hold a Bachelor’s degree, be non-Korean nationals, and have both parents as non-Korean nationals. Applicants of Korean origin must have completed their entire education abroad at levels comparable to Korean education.

For Doctoral programs, international applicants must hold or be about to hold a Master’s degree, be non-Korean nationals, and have both parents as non-Korean nationals. Applicants of Korean origin must have completed their entire education abroad and hold a Master’s degree.

For the Fall Semester 2026 intake, admission results are expected to be announced on July 8, 2026. The departmental screening will take place from May 20 to May 29, 2026, with tuition fee payment and issuance of admission certificates scheduled for mid-July 2026.
