  • On the non-financial front, scholars take part in local university organizations, participate in an interdisciplinary seminar program, and receive academic and personal mentoring.
  • The Network of International Scholars (NIS) offers practical assistance to international scholars as well (settling in, administrative procedures, volunteering, and social integration).
  • PhD candidates can enroll in KAS research colleges that specialize in topics such as Social Market Economy, 21st-Century Security and Development, and European Democracies: Transformations Since 1990.
