Through the INCERT One Young World Scholarship, three outstanding young leaders will be selected to join the One Young World Summit 2025 in Munich, Germany. This partnership highlights the shared mission of INCERT and One Young World to equip young professionals with the skills, knowledge, and vision needed to tackle global cybersecurity challenges. The program invites innovators passionate about technology, ethics, and security to collaborate on shaping a safer digital future for all.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Aged 18 – 30.
  • Nationals of an EU member state are eligible to apply.
  • Demonstrated interest and experience in cybersecurity.
  • Track record of impactful and innovative solutions.
  • Demonstrated awareness of the intersection between ESG and cybersecurity.

Note: Most delegates are between 18 and 30. Applications from those over 30 may be considered if they can demonstrate significant personal impact, initiative, and willingness to engage. Applications from those under 18 at the time of the Summit cannot be accepted.

Areas of Impact

The scholarship will support emerging cybersecurity leaders who are making an impact in one or more of the following areas:

  • Developing innovative approaches to digital identity and privacy protection, including secure authentication systems, identity verification technologies, or privacy-preserving solutions.
  • Advancing cryptographic research and applications, such as post-quantum cryptography, secure key management, or novel encryption methods for emerging technologies.
  • Strengthening cybersecurity resilience through threat detection, incident response, security awareness initiatives, or vulnerability research.
  • Promoting cybersecurity education and digital literacy to bridge the skills and GENDER gap and build more secure digital communities.
  • Advocating for ethical, inclusive, and ESG-aligned cybersecurity policies that protect vulnerable populations while enabling digital innovation.

  • Write an essay (maximum 1,000 words) answering: Why do you wish to join this program, and how do you see the intersection of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) principles with cybersecurity shaping a safer and more sustainable digital world?
  • Show both your personal motivation and your broader vision — how cybersecurity can advance ESG goals like protecting vulnerable populations, fostering trust in digital systems, or supporting sustainable innovation.
  • Make sure you meet the key eligibility criteria: aged 18–30 (though exceptional candidates over 30 may still be considered), citizenship in an EU member state, and a demonstrable interest or experience in cybersecurity.
  • Submit your completed essay and required information by 8 October 2025 via the official application page on the One Young World website.

All applicants will receive an email informing them of the outcome, regardless of whether they are shortlisted or not.

Can I apply to multiple INCERT One Young World Scholarship?

Yes. You may apply to more than one scholarship opportunity, but you may only be awarded a single scholarship place.
