GRIPS Summer Research Internship 2026 in China | Fully Funded

The GRIPS Summer Research Internship 2026 is a fully funded global research program in China designed for talented undergraduate and graduate students. It nurtures future scientists by combining hands-on research with mentorship, cultural immersion, and cross-disciplinary learning opportunities.

The internship takes place in China’s Yangtze River Delta region, providing participants with a vibrant research environment. Students will work at one of four top universities—Zhejiang University, Fudan University, Nanjing University, or University of Science and Technology of China.

The program runs for 5–6 weeks, typically from June to August. During this period, interns gain hands-on laboratory experience, attend lectures, participate in industry visits, and explore the Yangtze River Delta region, combining research training with cultural and academic enrichment.

Applicants must be registered full-time undergraduate or graduate students. Undergraduates should have completed at least two years of study. Candidates must demonstrate strong academic performance with a cumulative GPA of B or above to be considered for this competitive, fully funded program.

Students can choose projects in Engineering & Technology, Life Sciences & Medicine, Natural Sciences, Interdisciplinary Studies, or Social Sciences. Each research project offers hands-on laboratory experience at one of the four host universities, combined with mentorship and guidance from expert faculty.

The internship is fully funded, covering tuition fees, registration costs, international travel, and local accommodation for selected students. Participants gain research experience, mentorship, industry exposure, and a certificate of completion, all while immersing themselves in Chinese culture.
