The FutureMinds Summit Thailand (FMST) is a four-day global gathering of young leaders for an intellectual dialogue on four important United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), to be held in Bangkok, Thailand’s capital. This is your chance to present, share, and listen to innovative ideas for achieving the Sustainable Development Goals. The scholarship covers airfare, visa costs, accommodation, and meals. Applications are open worldwide.

The FutureMinds Summit is organized by the Global Youth Network and will take place in Bangkok from July 16–19, 2026. FutureMinds Summit Thailand Eligibility Criteria

  • Applicants from all nationalities are welcome.
  • Open to applicants from all educational and professional fields.
  • Between 16 and 45 years old.
  • No English Proficiency test (IELTS/TOEFL required).
  • Students, volunteers, graduates, change-makers, social entrepreneurs, and professionals at any stage of their careers.

Selection Criteria

  • Quality of Essay: A strong personal statement of 250-300 words explaining your motivation for joining the summit.
  • Ideal Qualities: Applicants should possess leadership skills, a passion for the SDGs, and a visionary mindset.

How Can I Apply for Fully Funded and Partially Funded Slots?

To apply for a fully or partially funded scholarship, please complete the general application form. All submissions are reviewed by our independent, international selection panel, which ensures a transparent process for final scholarship decisions.

Can I Attend the FutureMinds Summit If Not Selected for the Scholarship?

If you aren’t selected for a scholarship, you can still join us at the summit by choosing either the Self-Funded Package or the Forum Access Package. Regardless of your funding status, you will enjoy the same full experience and privileges as all other participants.

How Much Is the Application Fee and Is It Refundable?

The application fee is $18.50 for fully-funded and partially funded applications, and it is non-refundable.

Does GYN Provide Visa Assistance?

To help with your visa application, the GYN will provide an official invitation letter, proof of accommodation, and the program location. While we are happy to offer guidance throughout the process, please note that the final decision rests with the embassy, and we cannot guarantee visa approval.

What If I Don’t Have a Passport?

We strongly recommend ensuring your passport is valid well in advance of the summit. Please note that a valid passport is a mandatory requirement for your visa application and entry to the event.

What should I do if I do not have a passport at the time of application?

You can still apply! Simply upload a copy or enter the number of your National Identity Card (NIC), or any student ID in place of the passport details for now.

How can I pay my application fee?

You can securely pay the application fee using a debit or credit card, Google Pay through a trusted Stripe payment gateway.

What is the application deadline?

The application deadline is June 15, 2026. To avoid potential technical delays or last-minute complications, we strongly encourage you to submit your form as early as possible.

Am I required to provide proof of English language proficiency?

No, English test scores (such as IELTS or TOEFL) are not required for this application.

Which academic or professional backgrounds do you prefer?

The program is inclusive and multidisciplinary, we welcome applications from candidates in all fields and backgrounds.
